Remembering Never - God Save Us (Ferret, 2006)
If you're looking for a CD to put in the stereo that will make you want to mosh it up, Remembering Never's latest release, God Save Us, is the album for you. It's definitely some of the heaviest hardcore that has come out so far in 2006. After the first track, which is the lead singer clearing his throat, the album explodes into some uncompromising music that is just waiting to be moshed to. Although God Save US has a great sound, their songs are rather generic. Political lyrics and ridiculous song titles even make some of the tracks laughable.
That aside, God Save Us is some great hardcore that will get you pumped up to have a good time. It's definitely a step up from their last release, Women and Children Die First. With how many bands are in the metalcore scene nowadays it can be really hard to stand out, but Remembering Never has built a hardcore sound that promises to gain a decent following.
So if you want some typical hardcore to add to your collection, this would be a worthy album. If you are looking for something unique, you might want to check out another band.
